On Sunday, 2nd November 2025 at 20:00, the gates of Fort St Elmo will open for Dark Tales of Fort St Elmo, an immersive night tour uncovering some of the fort’s darkest secrets. Visitors will be transported back to moments of turmoil and intrigue, from the bloodied battles of the Great Siege of 1565 and the failed Slaves’ Revolt of 1749, to the Rising of the Priests in 1775, the deadly bombardments of the Second World War, the shocking Egyptair hijack of 1985, and more.
Due to the intense and sensitive nature of the stories recounted, this experience is recommended for audiences aged 16 and over.
